The inauguration of the paddy seedling planting festival, organized jointly by the Department of Agricultural Development and Farmers' Welfare, the Iritty Municipality, and the Keezhur-Chavassery Krishi Bhavan, was held at Akkalvayal in Parayanad.

Vice Chairperson K. Soya presided over the event. Agricultural Officer Anju, Padasekhara Samiti (paddy field committee) President P. Mohanan, Secretary K.M. Madhavan Nambiar, Agricultural Assistant Rekha P.R., and Padasekhara Samiti members Abdul Razak, P.V. Kelu, C. Sreedharan, P. Sathyan, P. Ajayakumar, Nithin Narayanan, and Balakrishnan C. spoke at the function.

The paddy seedling planting, organized as part of the second crop season, took place across 2 hectares of land in Akkalvayal. Such community gatherings play a major role in encouraging farmers and the agricultural sector, as well as strengthening the culture of farming in our region.
