As part of the state-level launch of the 'Operation Toofan 2.0' project, parallel events were organized in Iritty Municipality under the joint leadership of the police and the municipality. The state-level event, inaugurated at 11:00 AM by the Honourable Minister for Home Affairs, Shri Ramesh Chennithala, was broadcast live at the municipality. Following this, the Honourable Municipal Chairperson hoisted the 'Toofan Flag' in front of the Iritty Municipal Office. The event also featured the Toofan pledge, the official declaration of 'Toofan Warriors,' the distribution of 'Toofan Warrior' badges, an awareness class, and a video screening. The program saw active participation from Iritty Municipal Chairperson Shri V. Vinod Kumar, Vice Chairperson Smt. Soya K., standing committee chairpersons, elected representatives, police officials, volunteers, and students.
